4 Stars Good player + Low Price = Value
Bought this player because I wanted a small music player with FM radio. This fits the bill at a good price.
Small and portable, fits under sweats and is light weight on the arm when working out. Mine didn’t include an arm band, had to buy that separately.
The color screen is nice for operating, but looks a bit small for video. I don’t do video with this player, so can’t say how it works. I imagine the files would chew up the memory more than music.
The speaker is fun, but sound quality is iffy. Hard to push bass sounds out of a small speaker. The sound through the included headphones is good.
The included music management software isn’t the best, but it works. The player is compatible with Windows Media Player as well.
Pro: Small, decent sound, good price, FM radio
Cons: No arm band included
4 Stars Cute Little Device
I just got my device, and I’d have to agree with the negative aspects of this mp3 player. I love mine, but I’m not picky. The software that it comes with sucks. I tried deleting music from there, and it took forever and didn’t even work right. Putting music on the Mozaic with the supplied software went the same way. Save yourself some time and use Windows Media Player. It works faster anyway.
The buttons are kind of small, so people with big hands be wary.
If you can get past the software, you’ll enjoy are nice mp3 player for not much coin.
5 Stars Tricky at first but I love it
First let me say that I was really disappointed that I could not order this product in England where I live, it only comes in black there and I wanted pink.
I really wish it came with simple instructions on how to upload songs but I finally got the hang of it after about an hour, I am really a KISS person. I love it now.
It will really be tested today because I have a 7 hour flight back to England so we’ll see how long it does last without having to recharge it. The Zen Stone gave up before the almost 8 hour flight got me to the states.
I gave my Zen Stone to my sister who didn’t have a mp3 player and she likes it.
Would I recommend the Mosaic? Yes, definitely.
4 Stars First MP3 Player
This is my first MP3 player, and I am very happy with the Creative Zen Mozaic! Used Windows Media Player to sync My Music from my computer and it worked well (without me really knowing what I was doing!). Learning how to use just by playing around with it and find the FM Radio feature a real plus! I walk alot for exercise and this definitely beats the CD player I used to carry around in a tune belt around my waist. Yes, I know, it’s taken me a while to catch up with technology (you know us middle-aged folks!). Purchased a skin w/clip and wrist/arm band as well as another pair of earbuds that sound just a little better than those that are packaged with the Zen. All in all a great purchase!

I bought the Creative Zen only because it was listed as compatible for downloading books on tape from NetSearch. I have had some problems: can’t go back or fast forward, the Zen locks up and requires a reset which may cancel all the bookmarks. I like the look of it but the buttons are too small.
