Find Your Music Faster
It’s even easier to find the song you want to hear. Now you can view your album art in Cover Flow. Or just press and hold the Center button to browse by album or artist. When you find the right song, press the Center button to add it to your on-the-go playlist.

Rock and Roll Over
Tilt or turn iPod nano on its side, and you’ll listen, watch, and play in new ways. You can flip through your album art with Cover Flow. Or, vertically speaking, see more albums and artists on the screen at one time.

Shake Your Groove Thing
Sometimes, we could all use a little unpredictability. And now you can shake to change your music. Just give iPod nano a shake, and it shuffles to a different song in your music library. You’ll always be surprised by what you’ll hear.

Let the Games Begin
Now you can get in on games made especially for iPod nano and the accelerometer. They respond to the way you move, so they’re immersive, addictive, and a blast. The iPod nano comes with Maze, which lets you work your way through vast mazes by tilting and moving. You can find even more games on the iTunes Store.

Even Your Photos Rock
Pull hundreds of photos from your pocket and share them wherever you go. Hold iPod nano upright and see your photos in portrait view. Turn the player on its side to see them in landscape. Your photos look beautiful in their proper aspect ratio on the vibrant, 320-by-240-resolution display.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars NANO, NANO
If works well, as advertised. It now works with Sync in my new car. I can talk to it. I am not sure it likes that. The ITunes software is better than the NANO. We are happy.

3 Stars Gorgeous
I have an older Sony 1gb and a Sansa 260 4 GB but I always wanted to check out the ipods. I just ordered the new 8GB Sansa view for myself and ordered a new battery for my older sansa. My girlfriend asked me for an ipod and this seemed like the perfect time to get a first hand look. As soon as I opened the clear plastic box of the 8GB silver nano I was really impressed with how small thin sleek and gorgeous it is. The touch wheel is a wonderful design, just a bit too sensitive though. First thing I noticed was the total lack of instructions. I cudnt get RealPlayer to acknowledge the device. Finaly I got online and found out I had to download this software called itunes. Got that downloaded and then had to register it b4 it cud put my first songs on it. Then I had to search the PC for my music files and finally I plugged the ipod into the usb. It tried autosyncing every song but my file was larger than 8gb so I had to go thru the entire library and check off each individual song I didnt want to import. This was getting extremely frustrating. After several hours I was able to get my first 40 or so songs on the device. It has good sound and the earbud audio quality is surprisingly good. Wont stay in though. I still can’t figure out how to delete songs on the device or how to add photos and videos and believe me, I been trying. Why is it so darn difficult to use this software? Am I the only one to see the insanity of using this deletive itunes. My new sansa has just as good of sound quality, has a micro sd slot to easily add 8gb more, has FM, voice recording, delete individual songs from the unit, FM recording and of course the video and photo viewers and the same size screen as the ipod. And hey, its easy to use, simple drag an drop using any software. And its half the cost. Just not as pretty. My girlfriend livs out of town and I told her some of the probs I was having w the device and she said I dont care I want an ipod. Im still awaiting the arrival of my new Sansa View, it has a new improved similar thin design as the ipod now. Compared to my older sansa this ipod sucks, mostly just bcuz of the software. It wud b going back to the store pronto if I just had som bigger kahonas. I shud just return it, save som money, get her a sansa view, but, haha, well u know.

5 Stars one of the best gifts ever
I received this as a birthday gift. I’m not really into any type of tech stuff and have always been satisfied with just listening to the radio but this is the BEST thing ever! I wish I had bought one long ago! It’s super easy to use. I would highly recommend this to everyone.

I plan to get my husband one for Christmas.

5 Stars works for me
This is the best iPod in my opinion, since it is small enough to take anywhere, including the gym, and it has a screen, which makes it easy to navigate though your music collection. I am a big fan of the Shuffle, but like having the screen, so this is a good compromise for me, since I don’t want to carry around a huge iPod everywhere I go.

If you are an “active” person and use your iPod in the gym, while running, or doing anything like that, this or the Shuffle are the way to go, depending on whether or not you need a screen.

As with all iPods, the controls are intuitive. You can operate this without reading the manual. Even if you read the manual, it will take you about 3 minutes. That’s how simple everything is.

Also, if you have a Mac, and I am assuming a PC, you can “plug and play” with your computer. Works great with iTunes or the Amazon mp3 store. So easy my mother could do it!

2 Stars Delivery is poor
We ordered this item on 8/3/09 and it was shipped on 8/9/09 (Sunday ?). On inquiry, we are to expect delivery by 8/15/09. That is 12 days. Would not have ordered if I had known! There is not much info on delivery at the website for this item. There is a world of info on everything else. This is enough to avoid this website for this item or similar items.
