5 Stars A Classy Case for your Kindle
I was an original Kindle Classic user and I always disliked the case that came with that model, so when I left my Kindle on the plane and needed to replace it and learned the new Kindle 2s didn’t come with a case, I looked into options for my new case. When I found the OCTO Vintage Leather cover with hinge and snapped it up. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. First, the hinge and Kindle 2 attachment is very robust, so I appreciate the device won’t be randomly dropping out of the case as my original Kindle seemed to do at the most inappropriate times. Second, the leather is so nice and tactile, it’s really great to look at and even nicer to touch. It gives the Kindle 2 a classy appearance of a well-worn Moleskine or small hardbound volume of some obscure publisher of real books.
If you’re looking for a beautiful, textured case that really helps the Kindle 2 feel like a real book in your hands, OCTO Vintage Leather cover is a great option.

This cover is great. looks really good, is not bulky at all. i really love it, it has a nice used look to it.
4 Stars A beautiful and well built cover that has one flaw at a price
This item is probably one of the nicest genuine leather covers for the Kindle2 out at the moment. However at $75, it comes at a premium.
Packaging:
The cover comes in simple yet sophisticated packaging that is reminiscent of Apple packaging.
Quality/Appearance:
The cover itself is very strong, with distinctive leather on the outside, that collects marks and imprints from being used but only adds to it’s character. It also has a strong leathery smell.
Functionality
Despite some reviews, this cover can be bent backwards so that the outer covers touch and hence held as a single page. This doesn’t seem to break the cover though will cause additional creases in the outer part of the leather, which may not appeal to one if that bothers you.
Additionally, the cover utilizes two clasps within the spine that hook into the Kindle to secure it into the cover, which are more than adequate and also has a band on one corner to stop the Kindle flapping between the covers.
Flaw:
Other than the high price, one flaw (which may not be all that important depending on the individual) is that the cover does not have a clasp to secure the cover closed. This would make the product perfect in functionality.
Value:
Had the cover have a clasp, it would simply be a perfect product that I wouldn’t even blink at this price. That being said, it’s a minor flaw to me (possibly major to others) but for protecting a pricey ebook reader, it’s probably money well spent.
5 Stars Great case, pricey but worth it
This is a great case. The leather is beautiful and will age well. The front folds back completely so one handed reading is easy. The case provides good protection without being bulky. My light clips to the front when it is folded back because the cover is pretty firm. I’m very pleased. A little pricey but worth it. I bought this case and a different case, which I will be returning.

The OCTO vintage leather Kindle cover was well worth the money! The cover folds back flat and is quite comfortable to hold. I love the distressed leather look and feel. I would highly recommend this as an addition to your Kindle.
