Bose® SoundDock® 10 digital music system
Bose® SoundDock® 10 digital music system
Brace yourself for our best-sounding system for your iPod. The SoundDock 10 system delivers performance so powerful and lifelike, it could easily become your home’s main music system. It’s ideal for parties, gatherings-or your own personal listening. You’ve probably never heard your iPod sound this good.
You’ll experience a vast tonal range, from the deep lows of a bass line to the soaring highs of a vocalist. It’s the result of advanced Bose waveguide speaker technology coupled with a highly efficient, one-of-a-kind new woofer.
The waveguide, a long tube intricately folded inside the system, strengthens sound from the woofer to deliver deeper, stronger low notes you’ll notice right away.
Simple to use. Easy to enjoy
Though complex on the inside, the SoundDock 10 system is delightfully easy to use, with an equally uncomplicated exterior design. Just place your iPod or iPhone into the dock and play. The system’s clean, elegant look complements any living area.
Enjoy other sources, too
You can enjoy an additional sound source, such as an MP3 or DVD player, by connecting it to the system’s auxiliary input. A remote control operates the SoundDock 10 system, plays your iPod playlists and switches back and forth between your iPod and the connected source. There’s even an output for watching iPod video on your TV while listening to it on the system. Have a Bluetooth stereo music phone? Listen wirelessly with the optional Bluetooth dock.
Listen to our best-performing digital music system once, and we think you’ll agree–there’s nothing like it.

5 Stars Ohhhh yesssssssssssssss!
I could be repetitive and say pretty much what everyone else is saying. But rather than do all that, let me just say, my friend walked into my house and I had music blasting. When she saw that it was this small radio and not some massive setup with surround sound, she did a double take. She has one too now. lol You can’t imagine how wonderful it sounds till you have it in your house. It sounds like I have a wild party, but it’s just this little desktop device. I LOVE IT!
4 Stars review and question
i became a fun of bose when i bought the portable sounddock(with a battery), and i bought this sounddock 10 just weeks ago, im not as impressed as the portable made me tho for some reason, and i found that when itis connected via a audio cable and i turned volume of the sounddock to max, and 10 on both my desktop and my laptop, it sounds louder when it is connected to my desktop,(same song was being played) does anybody know why?????????????????????? btw, i checked the volume on my itunes and the volume mixers and everything.
4 Stars Extra superior Sound
I Got it from a local store here in Egypt and I’ve been using it since , It’s a great Device in spit of it’s quite expensive but it delivers a full rich sound , High ,Mid and Bass with exceptional clarity , The out put power is quite amazing on Max volume with NO distortion .
This device can serve as your main sound system considering putting it in the right location , it will perform best if it’s in a corner and at ear level when your sitting in your favorite sofa .
My only Con’s are it’s price , Weight , Bluetooth which should be integrated in the device not to replace the Dock especially at that price and turning off the equalizer every time you dock your Ipod or Iphone but I think Bose will fix that in the next software update .
Bottom line ,it’s a high quality product with out standing performance very well made , Solid and It’s a Bose, I gave it only 4 stars because of the Bluetooth issue I mentioned earlier but Yes I would defiantly buy it again .
5 Stars Brilliant Functionality
I had my doubts. Serious doubts. So I bought this on Amazon and set it up besides my top of the line Pioneer Elite Receiver and B&W big speakers. The difference was never subtle and never in doubt. Bose wins! Bose beats the $3000 set up. Truer sound reproduction with enormously big sound without distortion. This was evident on everything I played. However when I played several audiobooks, the Bose unit was astounding. Previously I thought that I had been loosing my hearing (too much high volume rock and roll). But for the first time on any system, the spoken word of audiobooks was precisely clear: not a word muffled or in doubt. And so, I am amazed. Life is becoming so simple. Unbelievable sound from a $600 Bose unit and my iPhone.
Also, consider the clear advantage of being able to easily move the Bose (or change the angle) when you move to a new listening area!!!
Never could be easily done with the old system.
Many thanks Bose!!!!!!!!! (PS - the smaller unit did not knock me out in the same way)
3 Stars Bose SoundDock 10 vs B&W zepplin
Well, I went into this comparison as a totally neutral party. I wanted the best sound for my ipod period. I researched for over 3 months and narrowed it to the SoundDock 10, the B&W zepplin, the Geneva sound M, and the Kanto syd5. In the end I listened to everything that I could and the 2 finalists, the B&W and the Bose were purchased and brought home. First I made a list of 50 songs in apple lossless from my CD collection. Then I critically listened to each of those songs on my home reference system which is a pair of Dynaudio Contour 1.8MkII towers, NAD amplification, NAD preamp, and Marantz CD player with Crystal DAC. Again, my goal was to bring home the very best sound that any one piece music system can offer. I played pink noise through each system for 50 hours to break everything in and then I level matched for volume using a pink noise track and SPL meter. Then I listened to all 50 songs on both systems. Then I blindfolded my wife and played 5 of her favorite songs through both the sound dock 10 and the B&W zepplin, without her knowing which was playing. She doesn’t care much about these things so I thought she would be a great unbiased review, knowing that she did not know anything about either system. After my listening three things were apparent. 1) The Bose was louder, 2)The Bose had more bass at many frequencies, 3)The Bose sounded hollow, unbalanced, and anemic, compared to the refined and absolutely musical performance of the B&W. Even where the bass was less pronounced it was musical, tight, and tonally correct. The bose was loud and boomy, but fell flat at producing real MUSIC. I was amazed at how every single song sounded better on the B&W. Some more than others. Acoustic instruments, synth, classical, pop, vocals, bass guitar, big band and dance all sounded better, more accurate, and more dynamic on the B&W. Not once did the Bose sound better, but perhaps my wife, who was under the impression that B&W made cars, will like the Bose sound that so many people flock to. So…how did my wife feel about these two. Without the benefit of her eyes to bias her, she picked the B&W as sounding far better every single time. I even threw in a track that I thought shined on the Bose. After the first three songs she knew the difference within the first few seconds. Her exact words were that “it is rich, and the instruments sound like they are in the room. In fact they remind me of your big speakers.” Enough said!!! In some cerebral way, the B&W was likened to a $8,000 stereo. In it’s defense the Bose is quite a bit louder, and doesn’t sweat a bit when the volume is up. It just doesn’t sound as good at any of the volumes that the B&W can attain. The B&W is loud enough for me. My wife even felt that the B&W sounded better then the Quad 12L active monitors that I sold recently before buying these two docks, that’s a pretty amazing claim. Needless to say the SoundDock 10 is going back to Bose today, and the B&W will be staying right where it is! I hope this help the folks out there that were struggling with the same decision that I was. Thanks!
