This camera is easy to use, very sleek and attractive, very small and the macro and video are awesome!!!
The only downfall which doesn’t even bother me is a little almost high pitched noise in the videos I take but it’s really not even a problem because it’s not that noticeable especially if there are other sounds in the video. The HD quality is great and the macro is seriously awesome! WORTH THE MONEY! The creative slider is a lot of fun as well, I like being able to make my pictures B/W before I even take them. The zoom is great too!

It is very good camera among the compact cameras except the location of flash on the side is odd. I wish it was in the middle so the handling of camera would have been easier.

This camera has been great. I love it. It takes clear, crisp pictures, and the zoom is great.
4 Stars Quality P&S, a bit on the slow side.
After going on a long vacation and spending a lot of time using the S8000, I do have some issues. The “boot up” time is too long- you see something you want to shoot, and the camera is off, the time it takes to turn on and let you zoom and shoot may mean you lose the subject. It can get frustrating- in the interest of saving batteries, you really can’t have the camera on for eight hours a day, so it can be a hassle.
Also, being able to adjust exposure manually is too deeply imbedded within menus- again, if you need to adjust quickly, you may be out of luck.
The flash location is very poor. Pretty much anyone who picks up the camera will end up covering the little door where it pops up, even people who use it regularly. If you had the camera off to have someone take your picture, you have to frequently not put their left finger where it naturally would comfortably go on the camera.
Except those items, pretty good. The pictures have been coming out pretty decently. Wish bronze had been more readily available when the camera launched, but with the trip i had, there wasn’t time to wait for it.

I’ve only had a few hours, but I learned something. You can charge it by USB cable with your computer, specifically, laptop. I was quite pleased by that. I’ll update more as I use it more.
