4 Stars Nice for the price
The sound quality is fine. This unit works well with my iPod Touch (although I didn’t need to use any of the included adapters; it fit fine as is). You really have to shove the iPod in quite deep to make contact, but it certainly WON’T be falling out if you want to carry the unit. The radio is a bit fussy. Slot-loading CD player works well. Nice remote.
I do notice a slight buzzing/humming sound from the speakers when the iPod is docked and you cycle between functions. This seems to go away when the iPod is removed from the dock or when the iPod is actually playing.
Overall, this is a good deal considering the sound and all the features included.
2 Stars Below Average Sound Quality
If you’re buying purely on sound quality–this is NOT the unit for you. My son owns the MTX Thunder, and quite frankly–the MTX sounds WAY better than this. Despite the claim that this boom box has “sub woofers” The only way I can get any respectable amount of bass out of this unit is by processing both the i-pod output and the boom box output. I like all the features, the fact that has a radio, a CD player and that the docking port accepts my i-pod video even in it’s protective case–but on pure sound quality, I say keep looking…
5 Stars WONDERFUL!!!! GET IT!!
My goodness. I just received mine (on time- a day early) and I am sooo in love. It is amazing! I have been searching for the longest for a Stereo that docks and charges my ipod touch, plays cds and has a radio. I have been through soo many products and nothing beats this one. The sound is spectacular! Crisp and clear with bass. I have a Sony that cost a lot more and the sound was very disappointing not to mention unattractive and now that i’ve found this, i’m taking it straight back to Target. This product is definitely worth every penny.
The only problem I have encountered is the struggle to put the Ipod in the dock but what’s a little struggle? Once its finally in there, Its the least of your worries.
1 Stars The I live is not working after 3 months
This product came home in a nice pretty box. But after a month of using the product my 3-year daughter got a C/D from the library and we tried to use the product in the CD player and it did not work. So we are OK with a broken CD player but now the I pod does not play on the stereo and we are feed up. I wish we could get or money back. I normally buy only Sony products but their new I Pod player was out of stock and I broke down and wasted money with this.
1 Stars CD gets stuck in after a few months
I purchased this product and after about 1 month of cd usage, the cds began to get stuck in side the player. Also the speakers have an irritating vibrating sound even at low levels.
