1 Stars Trying Installation
I got this expecting a fairly easy install, as most people said it was simple to install Invisible Shield on their product. Well, these people are either:
A. Liars
or
B. Not installing this on a Zune.
I found it incredibly trying on my patience installing the back piece. The front piece is the easy portion as there aren’t any flaps to it. Once you get to the back though, you are going to be battling airpockets and miniscule adjustments that always seem to knock something elsewhere out of line. It got to the point where I took off a small piece of the IS to make the flaps actually stick.
At this point, I am letting it dry, after that if it looks like it does now (it isn’t exactly invisible…no finger prints or anything, it just dulls out the piano black gloss) I am leaning towards taking it off.
Regardless I can’t in any frame of mind suggest to someone else to buy this product.

This product is really good but unfortunately i didnt read all ofthe instructions and went ahead and now I have these fingerprints on the sticky side of the skin. Other than that this product is the best even though you will get some bubbles big or small they will start to disappear within a couple days, so yea don’t worry if you accidently made some bubbles they’ll be gone in a couple of days.

-doesnt stick well to corners and those UNSTUCK corners accumulates dust that cannot be removed.
-I dont know if it can be re applied if removed. I had an idea if i wash it with soap and reapply it. tried it on the button piece. It just got really sticky. so i guess once it on its on. so get it right the first time!
5 Stars Awesome protection for the Zune
I bought this for my Zune after purchasing an iHome Zune dock. I had a hard plastic case that needed to be removed any time I wanted to dock it. The application of the shield was easy - and if it was messed up I could remove it and try again. It makes the device virtually scratch-proof. Its true that it doesnt cover the corners, but I’m not too worried about it. Its still great protection and works great.
1 Stars Too Difficult For Too Little Protection
I really wanted to like this skin. I wanted something to protect the piano-black finish on my Zune 120, so I ordered this after reading the reviews. All I can say is, that unless you have excellent motor control of your extremities, and/or enjoy taking a tedious amount of time to apply this skin….SKIP IT.
It was a major pain to line up and adjust. I followed the instructions and used the spray on the invisible shield - not that I was crazy about using a liquid on anything about to be applied to my electronic devices. I also used the included plastic squeegee to remove air bubbles. I washed my hands thoroughly before hand. I cleaned the zune and blasted my desk with compressed air to make sure I had no particles or dust floating around to get under the shield. Even with extreme care I had to realign both the front and the back a number of times. The plastic stretches a bit, too, which makes alignment a pain in the arse. I’d have one side all set only to realize that it stretched a bit and the other side was fubar’d.
I kept at it and finally got a result I was at least marginally pleased with. I let it sit for 24 hours (as recommended) and the bubbles disappeared and the shield spray cleared up. It looked great…..for about another 2 days.
I put this shield on to protect my zune when I take it out of my incipio leather flip case to place it in my dock at work. After just 2 days of placing it in and out of my flip case, the front began to peel at the edges. TWO DAYS was all it took before it started to come off.
This stuff protects helicopters? I call shenanigans. I ended out pulling the whole thing off and tried to reapply - again using the spray. Guess how well that turned out.
Needless to say, it now resides in the trash bin next to my desk and I’ll be looking for a simple screen protector like the ones I use on my PSP or DS.
Final thought - It just didn’t work for me. It was a hassle to install and lasted less than a week. I blew almost $20.00 on a protector that did nothing worthwhile. I’d suggest you skip this item.
